Unsurprisingly, many of our body’s tissues are of MSM, so it makes sense the supplement offers great benefits to those with joint pains. Specifically, MSM works well to detoxify cartilage and promote healthy growth. I like to think MSM oils my joints up and keeps things running smoothly. Don’t skimp on the sulfur. You’ll want to invest in Jarrow Formulas MSM Powder 1,000mg. It’s the best, and I found the powder to be better than pills.
Controlled Labs Orange Triad Multivitamin for Joint, Digestion and Immune Health
MSM is a major key, but this multivitamin is a close second on my list of best supplements for men with joint pain. If you’re taking a multivitamin for any reason, this one is my personal favorite. It was specifically created for men like us; guys who lift heavy weights and then get some extra cardio in the evenings. The stuff was designed for joint health and support over everything else. You’ll find adequate servings of MSN, Glucosamine, and Chondroitin in this multivitamin. If you’re healthy, then this may be all you need to keep your joints feeling good. The recommended serving size is six a day – three in the morning and three at night. Unless you already have joint pain, I’d stick with 3-4 pills a day. Sometimes I go with three in the morning, other days I take two pills in the morning and two at night.
NOW Foods Hyaluronic Acid 100mg 2X Plus, 60 Capsule
Lowkey – this stuff works well, too. MSM is still my favorite joint health supplement. Orange Triad is still the best value for guys who have low levels of pain. If you’re creaking and cracking while you walk, you need Hyaluronic Acid, as well. I’m not the only guy who has felt noticeable reductions in joint pain and improvements in range of motion once they started taking Hyaluronic Acid. The combination of MSM, Orange Triad, and Hyaluronic Acid will have your joints and body feeling way better. If not, you need to see a doctor, fam.
NOW Foods Glucosamine 1.1g, Chondroitin 1.2g, with MSM 300mg
Glucosamine and Chondroitin are great supplements to take for joint pain or health. While they’re don’t have the same effects on my body as MSM, they still work well. Taking Glucosamine helps tissues absorb more sulfur, which has a significant influence on the health of the tissue. As well, Glucosamine is naturally found in your body’s joint fluid. Chondroitin is part of your cartilage tissue and supports overall joint structure and health through adding water. I’d only recommend this supplement to men who aren’t taking the Orange Triad Multivitamin. It works, but you’re better off taking the multivitamin and Jarrow MSM. If you want to take this, then combine it with MSM for greater effects.
Great Lakes Unflavored Gelatin, Kosher, 16 Ounce Can
Now we are getting down to the nitty-gritty. Most guys who experience minor joint pain and problems will be better off by sticking with the supplements mentioned above. Unless you’re like me and basically walk with a limp unless you’re taking the best supplements for men with joint pain and problems, you probably won’t need this product. That being said – this unflavored gelatin is a great product. The gelatin in this product is a form of collagen that greatly benefits joint care in a few ways. You pour a bit of the gelatin powder into a cup filled with half water and half juice. Then let the mixture sit for a minute of two. Your cup should now be filled with a thick, jello-ish liquid. Stir it up and chug it down. I do this about twice daily. You’ll find your skin looks great while taking this and your nails grow like crazy.
Carlson Super 1000mg Cod Liver Oil, 250 Softgels
Fish oil helps your joints a little bit. I wouldn’t venture to say you’ll see noticeable differences in pain or problems just by popping a few cod liver oil capsules every day, but it doesn’t hurt. Plus, fish oil offers numerous other benefits for men. If you want to take fish oil for a variety of advantages, do it. I’d only take it for joint pain if I was going all out. Fish oil is last on this list for a reason. It works, but it’s not that great for joint health.
Epsom Salt Baths
Epsom salt isn’t going to heal shit. I’m not going to hype you up here. What I’ll tell you is taking an Epsom salt bath can alleviate aches and pains in the body. It feels fantastic. If you’re looking for minor joint pain relief and some relaxation, then these baths are amazing. I’d add them to your routine to keep your body health, but again, these baths won’t heal or promote health. They simply feel good. The other supplements on this list actually can support healthy tissues in your body.
